Campsite bookings
Lambing Season: August 17th to October 16th.
4 of our popular tracks are closed for Lambing Season. Waterfall, Magnificent Gully, Hunter's and the Tablelands. They all go through paddock where lambs will be. All the other tracks are open this year so if you want to get your outdoor fix, come in bring your boots and enjoy the good weather.
Faulkners Track to/from Packhorse Hut and Gebbies Pass remains closed due to slips.
Camping is now self-contained!
Public Camping and use of facilities at Base Camp has finished.
Powered and unpowered sites are available for camping, serviced by the main toilet block. Bring a solar shower bag and use the shower cubicle in the toilet block for that little piece of camping luxury, a hot shower.
Cottage Accommodation available.
Situated within the beautiful surroundings of Orton Bradley Park, Cath’s cottage sits on the bank of Te Wharau stream overlooking the Charteris Bay golf course and Lyttelton harbour. The Park is at your back door providing a short walk to the adventure playground, 20km of walking tracks, including rhododendron garderns, native bush and mature trees. There a mountain bike track, heritage buildings, and a 9 hole golf course all right at your door step.
The space
Caths cottage is set among mature trees and has a fantastic view over the golf course to Lyttelton harbour and the Port hills. For those winter get-a-ways it has a heat pump and log burner - keeping the 2-bedroom cottage toastee and warm.
Park Hours:
open 7 days 8.30am - 5.30pm
The Park gates now close at 5.30pm. Campers please get in touch if you expect to arrive after 5.30pm!

WE ARE A PET FREE ZONE
Due to Orton Bradley Park being a working farm, and also hosting many young children, we do not allow pets on the property. There are kennels available for dog use at the entrance booth.
